The Lewis Mandell Memorial Fund
This fund will provide approximately $2,000 for undergraduate students majoring in economics in good academic standing to address urgent financial needs, including but not limited to books, buying a laptop, MetroCards to cover community expenses, and emergency food, housing, or medical expenses.
Preference for students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. Recipient(s) to be determined by Chair of Economics in consultation with department faculty and the Dean of the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership.
Criteria:
- must be an undergraduate student(s).
- must be in good academic standing.
- must be majoring in economics.
- must have economic need.
