The City College Honors Program Internal Application

 
The City College Honors Program offers selected, high-achieving students in all disciplines a particularly challenging academic program in small classes. The curricular center of the program is the Honors Liberal Arts core, an enhanced and enriched version of the required core that includes interdisciplinary courses in the humanities, sciences and social sciences. It provides an excellent academic base regardless of a student’s eventual specialization. Small classes are taught by outstanding faculty, who encourage student participation and rigorous study. Students in the City College Honors Program receive:

• General Education courses that offer exceptional intellectual challenges and rewards
• Intensive mentoring and advisement from faculty and dedicated honors advisors
• First-day registration privileges

Eligibility Requirements:

• You must be enrolled full time at CCNY.

• You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher (final admission depends on your end-of-term grades).

• You must either: (1) Be a first-year student at City College who has not yet completed the Pathways requirements, or (2) Be a transfer student with at least 15 credits earned from a CUNY community college.
   

Please note: *Students enrolled in the Grove School of Engineering, the Spitzer School of Architecture, or The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education are not eligible for this program.
 

Application Deadlines

• November 15th for Spring Semester

• April 15th for Fall Semester
   

Applications MUST include ALL required materials, including letters of recommendation, by the stated deadline.
