The Herbert & Ruth Aschkenasy Opp Fund

The endowment will forever support: Study abroad (intersession, summer and semester programs); Preparation and application for graduate and professional school, including exam prep (GRE, LSAT, GMAT); preparation and application for national and international scholarships and fellowships, including the Rhodes, Truman, Fulbright, Goldwater, NSF, NIH, Marshall, Mitchell, Salk and Watson awards; internships, shadowing NYC leaders; attendance at relevant events hosted by NYC institutions and businesses; seminars and roundtables on career and graduate school issues; student participation and presentations at regional and national conferences; stipends for students to take unpaid internships or community service in the summer in fields related to cl1eir major, career and/or interests; funding for co and extra-curricular activities, such as group attendance at cultural events, social outings, and educational trips.
