The Moles Scholarship
The Moles Scholarship is designated for a junior that is enrolled in a civil engineering or construction management program.
To qualify, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen and should have a professional goal of achieving a career in the heavy construction industry as established by the completion of, or a commitment for an upcoming full-time summer employment internship with one of the following:
- 1. A heavy construction contractor (whose primary line of business is construction contracting).
- 2. An engineer / owner and be assigned full time to a project under construction for the 10 weeks of an internship.
- 3. A co-op will be considered if it is: i. with a contractor or ii. with an engineer/owner and the student will be or was assigned full time to an active construction project.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 required; preferred GPA 3.2 and greater.
A Letter of Recommendation from a Professor from the Civil Engineering Department or construction-related course(s) who can attest to the applicant’s demonstrated interest in the heavy construction industry.
