Aaron Groveman Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of the Groveman Scholarship is to help promising incoming freshmen to offset the cost of attending The City College of New York. Applicants wil1 be held to The College’s rigorous admissions criteria as noted below. If no high school graduate applicant qualifies, an incoming sophomore or junior applicant with an academic profile in keeping with the family’s wishes, as determined by the Dean, shall receive the award. In this instance, a current awardee may renew the Scholarship, provided GPA and academic stand in criteria are met. Otherwise, incoming freshmen must: Be native New Yorkers, intend to pursue a math, science or engineering discipline, be from an economically disadvantaged background, have a good-to-excellent high school GPA and academic record, come highly recommended by a counselor, teacher or principal, and submit an essay and the regular CCNY scholarship application requiring at least two reference letters, a transcript. financial data, and other infom1ation needed for determination of eligibility.
