Milton Stern (1957) Scholarship

The Milt Stern Scholarship aims to recognize and support outstanding students aspiring to pursue a career in finance, particularly in the fields of investment advice and related professions.

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Workshop Attendance: Applicants must have attended at least one Milt Stern workshop, demonstrating their commitment to expanding their knowledge in the field of finance.
  2. Educational Background: While students from any division are eligible, preference will be given to those in Engineering, Humanities, or the Center for Worker Education (CWE). Showcase how your academic pursuits align with and contribute to your interest in finance.
  3. Academic Excellence: Highlight your dedication to academic excellence, providing evidence of your achievements, honors, or notable coursework that reflects your commitment to scholarly pursuits.
  4. Personal Integrity: Emphasize the importance of personal integrity in your academic and personal life. Share instances where you have demonstrated ethical behavior and principles, showcasing your commitment to honesty and accountability.
  5. Interest in Finance: Clearly articulate your interest in the field of investment advice and related professions. Discuss how your academic and extracurricular experiences have shaped your passion for finance and your career aspirations in this domain.

Applicants are encouraged to submit a concise essay (400-500 words) addressing the four criteria listed above and provide insights into their journey, values, and aspirations in the field of finance. The Milt Stern Scholarship seeks to support students who not only excel academically but also embody the qualities of integrity and a genuine passion for contributing to the financial industry.
